- I've worked for 6 years as an Investment Advisor and Financial Planner, for small companies and companies as large as Ameriprise and Merrill Lynch. I spent a year in a PhD Finance program, but left because the studies and activity were not helping my clients, and other demands on my time were too great. I now manage money for a small number of private clients, and I am blogging for my own and anyone else's edification.
